NORWICH v CHELSEA

Norwich are bottom of the table and are coming off 4 successive defeats, most recently they went down 3-1 at home to Brentford. They have only won 2 of 14 home games this season. Norwich home games have averaged 2.6 goals each, but Norwich themselves have only managed 9 goals in 14 games.

Chelsea are up to 3rd on the table with an unbeaten run of 4 matches including winning their last 3 games. On the weekend they beat Burnley 4-0 on the road and they have the second best away record in the League with 9 wins and 3 draws in their 14 games. Chelsea away matches averaged 2.4 goals each and they have only conceded 8 goals in 14 road trips.

Chelsea hammered Norwich 7-0 in the reverse fixture and last season Chelsea won this fixture 3-2.

Norwich 11/1

Draw 9/2

Chelsea 3/10

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Chelsea (-1.5) goals at 15/20

Chelsea should be far too strong for a Norwich side that is really battling and looks destined for relegation. For this bet to pay out they must win by at least 2 goals.

WOLVES v WATFORD

Wolves are currently 8th on the table, but they have suffered 3 successive defeats most recently a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace at home. Overall at home this season they have won 5 and drawn 2 of their 13 games and a closer look at their goal scoring record at home shows that their matches only average 1.7 goals each with only 4 of the 13 games delivering profits had you backed over 2.5 goals.

Watford are in 19th on the log and in serious trouble only winning 1 of their last 10 games. Last time out they lost 3-2 at home to Arsenal, but their last away game was a 0-0 draw at Manchester United and Watford have actually taken 12 of their 19 points on the road this season.

Wolves 17/20

Draw 12/5

Watford 15/4

Suggested Bet: The draw at 12/5

This match is screaming under 2.5 goals, but the bookies are on to us and that is priced at 8/15. I actually think that Watford have made improvement in recent weeks and could just be running into Wolves at the right time here and the draw offers some value.

LEEDS v ASTON VILLA

Leeds are 16th on the log and on a horrid run that has seen them lose 6 of their last 7 and their last 5 in a row. Their last game was a 1-0 loss to Leicester away and their last home game was a 4-0 drubbing by Tottenham. 8 of the 13 Leeds home games have reached the 3 goal mark this season.

Aston Villa are 11th on the table and have eased any relegation concerns with back-to-back victories at home to Southampton 4-0 and 2-0 away at Brighton. An interesting stat in Villa away matches is that they have yet to play to a draw with 5 wins and 8 defeats and those games have averaged 2.3 goals each.

These sides played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture and last season it was the away team which won on each occasion.

Leeds 17/10

Draw 26/10

Aston Villa 16/10

Suggested Bet: Aston Villa win at 16/10

Villa are playing some great football at the moment and I think they can beat a Leeds side that has looked out of sorts in recent weeks.

LIONS v BULLS

The Lions put up a brave performance against the Sharks last week going down 47-37 and although it was quite a convincing win for the Sharks in the end, the Lions did fight back in the second-half. Back in December they caused an upset when they beat the Stormers 37-19 away from home and the Lions currently sit 3rd in the SA Shield.

The Bulls were well backed last week, but they were beaten 30-26 by the Stormers having started the match 7 point favourites. The Stormers were on top early racing into an 18-0 lead, but the Bulls took control of the game and appeared to be coasting to victory only for some late drama as the Stormers scored a try in the last 10 minutes to win to break Bulls punters hearts. It was the second successive loss for the Bulls in local derbies having lost to the Sharks by 14 points in Durban and despite being the shortest price of the South African sides at the start of the season they currently sit bottom of the SA Shield.
