Race 1 

FIERY PEGASUS was not disgraced when 7th in the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the horse that finished second has come out and franked the form. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and she may be the one to side with.

WORLD OF ALICE followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over this C&D. She stayed on at the finish but found one too good in the form of Vj’s Angel. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

SCARS OF WAR ran a fair race in the Listed Hollywoodbets Super League Devon Air Stakes. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.

Race 2

LEGEND OF ARTHUR has been an impressive winner of his last two starts. He drew clear with ease over 1600m on this course last time. The son of Lancaster Bomber returns from a well-deserved 10-week break. He is a horse with class and should notch up the hat-trick.

MOUNT PINATUBO was doing his best work late when fifth in the Listed Hollywoodbets Sharks Gatecrasher Stakes last time. He finished 5.5 lengths behind

LEGEND OF ARTHUR in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. ZANTHAR returns from a 12-week break, during which time he was gelded. His last outing behind Truth was decent. He tries the tongue-tie which may have the desired effect.

Race 3

KAMENSKY has produced two decent third place finishes to date. He stayed on over 1450m on the Inside course last time. The son of What A Winter will love the rise to the mile and from his good draw of two, he may be the one to side with.

PANNING GOLD has finished second in his last three starts. He has been gelded which may have done the trick. Richard Fourie retains the ride and he is one of the leading contenders.

DECEPTION PASS fought hard when second over this distance on the Inside course last time. He will strip a much fitter horse and from his good draw of three, he should be competitive.

Race 4

PERFORM was not disgraced when fifth against winners last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. Her record over this distance is an obvious concern but back in Maiden Company, she may be the one to beat.

LADY OF TIBET showed improvement when second in her last start over 1450m on the Inside course. She raced from a handy position, but found one too good in the form of Twostep Queen. The daughter of Potala Palace may be the one to fill the exacta spot.

RAINBOW RIVER stayed on when fourth over 1400m on this course last time. She gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Trent Mayhew which will assist her cause. She is having her peak run and cannot be ignored.

Race 5

WILLIAM IRON ARM is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Daily News 2000. The blinkers have been quickly removed. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. His previous form was consistent and he can return to winning ways.

GIMME A SHOT ran a fair race in the Grade 2 East Coast Radio Tibouchina Stakes last time. She has won once and finished third three times from seven starts on this course. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should give the males a run for their money.

SAVANNAH STORM’S last three starts have been fair. He has won twice and finished third once from six starts over this C&D. From pole position, he should earn another cheque for his patrons.

Race 6

LUCKY LAD is much better than his last start in the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Gold Challenge. He was reported to have cast a shoe in running and it may have come too soon after his victory in the Grade 1 Golden Horse Sprint. He has won four times and finished second once from six starts on this course. He is the class horse in the race and should notch up his seventh-career victory.

CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT finished 0.75 lengths behind SILENT WAR last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The 7yo gelding may be the one to fill the exacta spot. POWER BROKER finished 0.85 lengths behind

SILENT WAR in the race referred to above. He is 2kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the form around. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D and will be looking to keep that record intact.

Race 7

HOTARUBI is better than his last start in the Grade 1 Daily News 2000. He ran a good race when second in the Grade 2 TAB Colorado King Stakes in his penultimate run. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

JORDAN’S last outing in the Grade 3 Hollywoodbets Dolphins Cup Trial is best ignored as the jockey reported something to be amiss in running. He has finished second in both his efforts on this course. If putting his best foot forward, he should pose a threat.

GREETING MY MASTER should have finished closer to the winner last time as he was baulked for running room between the 300m mark and 200m mark. Gavin Lerena sticks with the ride and with luck in running, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 8

KOTINOS stayed on when third over 1200m on the Inside course last time. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He would have come on from that run and should strip much fitter. Trent Mayhew takes the 2.5kgs off his back and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

PENDRAGON stayed on when third over 1000m on the Inside course last time. He should have no issues with the extra 160m on offer and is one of the leading contenders.

WARM WINTER NITE ran a fair race in his local debut over 1000m on the Inside course. He is having his peak run today and should be cherry- ripe. It is encouraging that Gavin Lerena is booked to ride and he can feature
