Race 1

IN THE GREEN ZONE may not have seen out the 1200m in her last start as she lacked a finish in the closing stages. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Her first three career outings over this C&D were encouraging. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she should give the males a run for their money.

SUMMER SNOW showed some improvement in his last start over 1200m. It must be noted that O’tenikwa has come out and finished second since. He is a progressive type and should be the first male past the post.

RATTLESNAKE ran a fair race over this C&D last time. The son of Buffalo Bill Cody will be at peak fitness and there should be more to come.

Race 2

CALLMEGETRIX was given a peach of a ride when winning her last start over this C&D. She finished off her race well and lasted long enough. The daughter of Vercingetorix does take on stronger, but she is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

WUGUG finished 0.4 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair at the finish. With a bit of luck from her awkward draw of eight, she should be involved at the finish.

SUMMER LILY has good consistent form lines to her credit. She has won twice, finished second once and third once from five starts on this course. The 12-week break would have done her the world of good and if fit, she should be competitive.

Race 3

SPIRIT GUIDE has shown improvement in her last two starts. She finished 0.4 lengths behind ROCKING PEONIE last time and is 0.5kgs better off at the weights. There should not be much separating the pair at the finish. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will be mowing down the frontrunners.

ROCKING PEONIE showed good improvement in her last start with the blinkers fitted. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. Richard Fourie retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect.

LEAD TO GLORY should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the latter stages. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. If keeping on a straight line, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

Race 4

SAINT BRIGID is better than her last start suggests. She raced wide around the turn with no cover and understandably lacked a finish in the straight. The daughter of Master Of My Fate jumps from pole position and on previous form, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

CHARLOTTE BRONTE was doing her best work late when fourth in male company over 1400m last time. The daughter of Lancaster Bomber will love the rise to a mile. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces.

NATIONAL DISGRACE ran a good race when third over this C&D. She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Canford Cliffs is having her peak run today and she can earn another cheque.

Race 5

KEBONALESEDI was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over this C&D, in this Class. The son of Pomodoro was given a two-pound penalty for that victory. Craig Zackey retains the ride and the combination can follow up.

KELP FOREST finished 2.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.

SPIRIT’S UNITE was running on when third over this C&D last time. The son of The United States drops to Class 5 Company this afternoon. Richard Fourie steps back into the saddle and if getting away to a clean start, he should be involved at the finish.

Race 6

SOUTHERN SKIES finished 1.5 lengths behind PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. The daughter of Vercingetorix is having her peak run today and Richard Fourie may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.

WINTER RAINFALL finished 1.7 lengths behind PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN in the race referred to above. She is also 3kgs better off at the weights today and should also turn the form around. The daughter of What A Winter will be mowing down the frontrunners.

NORDIC QUEST won a good race in her last start over this C&D. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She finished 0.8 lengths behind PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN in her penultimate run. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should get the upper hand today.

Race 7

VERONIQUE challenged strongly in her last start over 1400m, but found one too good in the form of Grandiosa. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She has won once, finished second twice and third once from 11 starts over this C&D. Richard Fourie retains the ride and she can go one better.

WHY NOT JACKIE stayed on when fourth over 1100m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She is back against her own sex and is one of the leading contenders.

TRES CHIC was not beaten far in her stable debut over 1100m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She takes a drop in class and if putting her best foot forward, she can show.

Race 8

KYALAMI GIRL was not disgraced when fourth in the Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes last time. Her first four career outings were eye-catching. The daughter of Querari should have no issues with the drop to 1000m. She carries a handy galloping mass of 55.5kgs with Anthony Andrews up and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

SPEED RACER was an easy winner of his last start over 1100m on this course. He showed good speed, found another kick and drew off in the closing stages. He is in a good space and should the top choice fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

BLUFF ON BLUFF finished 2 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. However, SPEED RACER won easier than the official margin suggests and he may still have the upper hand.

Race 9

ROUGAROUIN stayed on when fifth in his last start over 1200m on this course. The son of Horizon takes a drop in class this afternoon. Despite his big mass of 61.5kgs, he is capable of winning a race of this nature.

WORDSWORTH was an easy winner of his last start over 1100m on this course. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He is in a good space and can follow up with another victory.

TRIPPI’S SILK should have finished closer to the winner last time as the saddle slipped in running. His best form has been under Aldo Domeyer. If getting away to a clean start, he should be involved in the fight to the finish
