RACE 1

SPLICETHEMAINBRACE is a daughter of Master Of My Fate from the Alan Greeff stable with Richard Fourie booked to ride. She is related to three-time winner On The Horizon. If not in need of this outing, she should start her career on a positive note.
SERENDIPITOUS is a daughter of Captain Of All from the Kelly Mitchley stable with Muzi Yeni in the saddle. If not too green, she may be involved at the finish.
MAGICAL RIVER is the stable companion of the second selection and she is a daughter of Querari with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle. If not in need of this outing, she should give a good account of herself.
RACE 2
RAPTOR ISLAND is still a maiden after 17 starts, but he has some decent form lines to his credit. He showed pace over this distance on the polytrack last time and stayed on at the finish. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. Muzi Yeni steps back into the saddle and he may be the one to beat in this field.
SWISS WALT finished 1.25 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today and he may have to settle for the same result.
BEST INTENTIONS has fair recent form lines to her name. She will enjoy racing on the turf and with the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Kobeli Lihaba, she should give the males a run for their money.
RACE 3
JET BUND moved up like a winner over 1400m on this course last time, but was caught late by Single File. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He gets the services of apprentice Kobeli Lihaba who takes the 2.5kgs off his back. If all goes according to plan, he should shed his maiden tag.
GIVE US A SMILE raced from a handy position over this distance on the Polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Reach Forthe Stars. This will be his first run on the turf track and if suited, he should pose a threat.
MASTER OF DEFENSE showed good improvement in his last start over 1900m on the polytrack. He is having his peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. From his good draw of four, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
RACE 4
THEN IN FOCUS’ last three starts have been good. He stayed on strongly when second over 2000m on this course last time. The son of Visionaire tries the 2400m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can notch up his third career victory.
ELLIS ISLAND finished 4.75 lengths behind the top choice last time. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the tables. Richard Fourie is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
MOHANDAS finished 6.75 lengths behind the top selection in the race referred to above. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights today and may battle to turn the form around.
Race 5
STORM COMMANDER has good recent form lines to his name. He raced from a handy position over this distance on the polytrack last time, but found one too good in the form of Painite. The 7-year-old gelding takes a drop-in class and he should be the one to beat.
TRIP TO BARBERTON is the stable companion of the top choice. She was not beaten far in her last start over this distance on the polytrack. Muzi Yeni is booked to ride and he may be able to get the best out of her where it matters most.
ON THE GUEST LIST was in need of her comeback run over 1400m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She will strip much fitter and can earn a cheque.
Race 6
GLOBAL GODDESS was an easy winner of her last start over 1200m on the Polytrack. The blinkers have done the trick on the daughter of Global View. She meets similar company this afternoon and can follow up.
REGINA BELLISSIMA was running on when fourth over this distance on the Polytrack last time. She would have come on from the run and is one of the leading contenders.
CONCERTO was an easy winner when shedding her maiden tag over 1200m on the Polytrack last time. She showed good pace and found another kick to win going away. She does take on stronger, but she has plenty of scope and should be up to the task at hand.
RACE 7
UNITED EXPRESS won a good race in her last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. She took the lead at the 1100m mark that day and won with ease. She received a five-pound penalty for that victory. She meets similar company this afternoon and if taking to this track, she can follow up.
STATE OF MIND cost herself leaving the start last time, but the manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. She finished 1.5 lengths behind the top choice in her penultimate run and is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today.
THE LADY LOVE finished 2.35 lengths behind the top choice last time. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result.
RACE 8
KUZNETSOV was unlucky not to have won his last start over 1600m on the Polytrack. He stumbled leaving the start and was reported to have over reached. He has dropped to a competitive rating. The son of Duke Of Marmalade has a wide draw to overcome but he gets the services of Denis Schwarz who knows him well and he should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
WAZ WOUTER has improved in his last two starts on the Polytrack. It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.
WATCH TOWER’S last three starts have been fair. He finished 2.1 lengths behind the second choice in his penultimate run. He is 0.5kgs worse off at the weights and he may have to settle for the same result
