CRICKET

After a short break South Africa and England are back in action in Port Elizabeth on Thursday and with the series locked at 1 test apiece with 2 to play, this is a crucial match for both teams.

South Africa are 27/20 to win the match with the draw 5/1 and England are 5/4 favourites. There are a host of Exotic Markets available on the game and a market we always enjoy is the Man of the Match where Stokes is 8/1, Root 9/1 and Quentin de Kock is trading at 12/1.

The Big Bash League continues on Thursday with the Sydney Sixers 5/8 against the Hobart Hurricanes who are 13/10.

The Sixers currently sit 2nd on the table and although their last match ended in defeat that broke a 3 match run of victories while the Hobart Hurricanes are languishing towards the foot of the table with just 3 wins in 9 starts. GOLF

There is top class European and PGA Tour action this weekend and in the European Tour we have the Abu Dhabi Championship where Tommy Fleetwood who is well known for his golf in the desert is 11/1 for the win, American, Patrick Cantlay 12/1 together with his countryman, Brooks Koepka. In form Louis Oosthuizen from South Africa is 16/1 and you can get 20/1 and better the balance. After last week’s stunning final round in the South African Open we feel Branden Grace will attract interest at 30/1 for the win.

In America it is The American Express Championship and here we have Rickie Fowler trading as the 14/1 favourite with Sungjae Im 16/1 and you can get 22/1 and better the balance. If you are looking for a bigger price than those at the top of the betting boards, you could do well worse than Kevin Na who has shown that he can get over the line when required in recent times, he is 60/1 for the win and 12/1 a place.

HORSE RACING

Local horse racing takes place at the Vaal Racetrack, an 8 race card starting at 12:40 and finishing at 16:40 on Thursday.

Only the big hitting punters will be getting involved on the favourite War Room in the opener as this 2 year old is priced at 1/4 for the win and we have another short priced favourite in the 2nd Race with Miracle Flight priced at 4/10. There are more open races on the card later on, but Eden Roc should rate a popular Pick Six banker at 5/10 in the 5th. As far as bigger priced horses go we are looking for a top run from Mombela currently priced at 16/1 in the 6th.
