WSB150The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is once again the venue for the Austrian Grand Prix and it will be the second week in a row we run at this track with the Styrian Grand Prix having taken place here last weekend.

Max Verstappen started the Styrian Grand Prix in pole position and although Lewis Hamilton threw in the fastest lap, Verstappen was dominant in going to his 3rd Grand Prix victory in 4 starts, while Hamilton who finished runner-up has now gone 4 Grand Prix’s without a victory. Hamilton’s teammate, Bottas completed the podium

We now see something in the Championship Betting we cannot recall seeing in ages and that is Lewis Hamilton no longer the favourite. He is second favourite at 15/10 with Max Verstappen at 9/20.

Last year the Austrian Grand Prix was the first GP of the season and Valtteri Bottas qualified in pole position and went on to take the race. Charles Leclerc finished 2nd with Lando Norris completing a surprise podium.

Max Verstappen 7/10

Lewis Hamilton 22/10

Sergio Perez 12/1

Valtteri Bottas 12/1

40/1 and better the balance

Suggested Bet: Max Verstappen win at 7/10

Verstappen was so dominant at the Styrian Grand Prix, it is difficult to see what difference a week can make. There is a chance of rain about and perhaps that will be the differentiator, but we have been successful following Verstappen over the last few weeks and I am happy to continue until he is beaten.

Suggested Bet: Podium finish, Lando Norris at 7/2

Norris has been consistent this season and hasn’t finished worse than 8th. He is coming off 3 successive 5th placed finishes, but he has had 2 podiums this season and currently sits 4th on the Championship Table.
