VERSTAPPEN 1/50 AFTER SPANISH ROMP

Max Verstappen dominated the Spanish Grand Prix securing pole position, the fastest lap as well as winning the race well clear of the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. His Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez was disappointed to finish 4th.

Verstappen has now won 5 out of 7 Grand Prix’s and hasn’t finished worse than 2nd and he is on 170 points, 53 points ahead of Perez in second and Alonso is a further 18 points back on 99.

He is as short as 1/50 to win the Drivers Championship, but there are some other long-term markets on off such as Driver to win 2 or more races where Lewis Hamilton is trading at 11/4 which are more competitive.

2022 CANADIAN GRAND PRIX

Max Verstappen is the defending Champion having won last year’s Canadian Grand Prix ahead of the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz Jnr. Verstappen had also started in pole position and Sainz Jnr. got the fastest lap having started from 3rd on the grid. Lewis Hamilton completed the podium ahead of his teammate George Russell.

Max Verstappen 4/11

Sergio Perez 6/1

Lewis Hamilton 14/1

Fernando Alonso 18/1

George Russell 25/1

It is really hard to oppose Max Verstappen at the moment, but at the same time at odds of 4/11 he is a little bit short for most of our punting pockets. Good news though is if you back him with World Sports Betting and he runs 2nd you will at least get your money back in Free Bet Vouchers.

I have been quite impressed by Lewis Hamilton in recent weeks and he certainly has an excellent record in this race having won seven times, a feat only achieved by one other driver and that was Michael Schumacher. Hamilton has been steadily improving all season and while he would probably need Verstappen to have some bad luck I am going to have a go at him at 14/1.

Suggested Bet: Hamilton to win at 14/1

Estaban Ocon has put in some good performances of late and he finished on the podium in Monaco and ran 8th in Spain. Looking at last year’s Canadian Grand Prix he finished 6th and I am going to take the 5/2 on offer that he is going to make his way into the Top 6 in consecutive years.

Suggested Bet: Top 6 Finish, Estaban Ocon, YES, at 5/2
