PRETORIA CAPITALS
The Pretoria Capitals opened their campaign with an away win over Sunrisers Eastern Cape who they then beat at home a couple of days later.
They had a bit of a gap until they faced the Joburg Super Kings at the Wanderers on Tuesday night and although it looked like their game to win on a number of occasions it was the Joburg Super Kings who eventually won by 6 runs.
Star performers for the Pretoria Capitals were Eathan Bosch with the ball getting 3 for 12 in his 3 overs and no one scored more than 29 with the bat and that top score belonged to Phil Salt who got it off 15 runs.
JOBURG SUPER KINGS
The Joburg Super Kings bounced back from two heavy defeats on the road against the Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town and their problem definitely appeared to be their batting line-up which was struggling to set any sort of target.
They began slowly against Pretoria Capitals eventually reached 168 for 6 and were still underdogs with the bookmakers at that point. Leus du Plooy rescued the innings with an excellent 75 not out off 40 balls, deservedly winning him the Man of the Match award. Aaron Phangiso was the hero with the ball taking 4 for 32 off his 4 overs and his figures would have been a lot better were it not for 3 successive 6’s hit off his final over. There were also useful contributions from Shepherd and Joseph both of who picked up 2 wickets.

Pretoria Capitals 4/6
Joburg Super Kings 23/20
For the record I expect the Pretoria Capitals to bounce back, but at this point I am going to be having a look at some of the Exotic Markets.
Suggested Bet: Pretoria Capitals Top Batsman, Will Jacks at 9/4
Jacks still holds the top score in this Tournament having scored 92 runs a couple of games back. He impressed at the Wanderers before taking one too many risks, but he showed me enough to suggest that along with opening partner, Phil Salt they are going to get Pretoria Capitals off to many a great start so I am backing Jacks to get himself another top score here.
Suggested Bet: Joburg Super Kings Top Bowler, Maheesh Theekshana at 3/1
I have never seen Maheesh bowl before his appearance at the Wanderers and although on the face of it he didn’t bowl that well he showed enough variations, both in terms of line, length and pace for me to think he is going to get many opportunities and wickets throughout this Tournament
