The Pretoria Capitals meet the Sunrisers Eastern Cape for the second time in two days when the teams clash at Centurion Park on Saturday afternoon. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.
The Pretoria Capitals were full value for their victory in their game against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Gqeberha on Thursday night. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape won the toss and elected to field first and they had the Pretoria Capitals on a tight rein earlier on, but opening bat, Phil Salt kept his head to score 77 off 47 balls and lead his team to score 193 for 6.
There wasn’t a lot of joy for the Sunrisers bowlers, Aiden Markram was probably the pick with his 2 for 17 off 2 overs.
The Sunrisers got off to a bad start in their chase and eventually reached a 170 for 5. JJ Smuts topped scored with 66 off 51 balls but while he may have put runs on the board, he surely had to score those at a quicker pace chasing such a big target. Tom Abell weighed in with 40 off 24 balls at the back end of the innings, but by then the match was out of reach.
There was no doubt who the pick of the bowlers was, Anrich Nortje was on fire regularly sending in 150 km per hour bolters and he got 2 for 18 off his 4 overs.

Pretoria Capitals 6/10
Sunrisers Eastern Cape 14/10
This Pretoria Capitals side has a well-balanced look to them and I wouldn’t put anyone off the 6/10 currently on offer. In these T20 games I like to back teams at slightly bigger odds or potentially even if they are underdog so I am going to look at some of the Exotic Markets for my Saturday afternoon betting fix.
Suggested Bet: Rilee Rossouw over 21.5 runs at 17/20
Rossouw is one of those players who either goes big or goes home and in the first game he went home scoring 4 runs having come in at the fall of the first wicket. He is a quality player though and I am backing him to bounce back strongly in the second game.
Suggested Bet: Pretoria Capitals Top Bowler, Anrich Nortje at 2/1
I am keeping faith with Nortje who delivered nicely in the first game. This man is bowling with so much fire and pace, he really is a handful and is more often than not amongst the wickets.
