Betting Preview

Outright Winner

There are plenty of big names sure to be in the mixer this week at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas:

Brooks Koepka – 20/1

It has been another injury stricken season for Brooks Koepka, but the former world number one demonstrated his quality for Team USA in the Ryder Cup last time out.

Viktor Hovland – 22/1

One of the lone bright lights for Team Europe during the Ryder Cup was the emergence of Viktor Hovland and the Norwegian has been tearing it up on the PGA Tour all season.

Webb Simpson – 25/1

Despite no tournament wins of late, Webb Simpson is the model of consistency in most events he plays in and the conditions in Las Vegas could play into his hands.

Harris English – 35/1

Another member of the victorious Team USA Ryder Cup team was Harris English, and he should be buoyed by his performances at Whistling Straits heading into this one.

Paul Casey – 35/1

Englishman Paul Casey endured a tough Ryder Cup week but is regularly one of the most consistent operators on the PGA and European Tour and he will be eager to put a performance in here.

1st Round Leader

Producing the goods over 72 holes is often the most difficult thing for any golfer to do therefore here are our first-round leader picks:-

Hideki Matsuyama – 30/1

Defending Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama hasn’t been playing his absolute best golf in recent weeks, but he has a game capable of tearing up any field on his day.

Kevin Na – 33/1

Two-time winner of the Shriners Hospital for Children Open Kevin Na hasn’t been in the best form in 2020 but he could relish a return to one of his favourite courses.

Luke List – 80/1

American Luke List has made a lot of cuts recently without making them pay and this could be the weekend he puts some real markers down from the off.

Top Ten Finish

With so many quality players assembled here in Las Vegas, getting into the winning enclosure could be tough but there are plenty of candidates to finish in the top 10 come Sunday:-

Abraham Ancer – 5/2

Enigmatic Mexican Abraham Ancer has been an emerging force on the PGA Tour in recent seasons and he looks overpriced to finish in the top 10 in Las Vegas this weekend.

Sungjae Im – 4/1

South Korean Sungjae Im has put in superb performances on the PGA Tour over the past 12 months and he looks good value to go well again this week.

Danny Willett – 14/1

English former Masters champion Danny Willett showed his class by winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship last weekend and he could sneak into the top 10 again this week.
