Tournament Preview
Having seen its status on the European Tour elevated in 2019, the Italian Open has become one of the flagship events on the tour. The impact of COVID 19 has left the event with a reduced prize purse however there are plenty of big names vying for glory in the Northern Italian City of Brescia. The event was first established in 1925 and is one of the most prestigious on the European Tour and the standard of golf should be high once more in 2020. Previous winners of the event Ian Poulter, Tyrrell Hatton, and Francesco Molinari – testament to the prestige the event is held in on the European Tour.
