Black Friday may have originated in the USA, but as South African consumers will know it has taken off in this country in a big way.
Good news for Sports Bettors is that bookmakers also embrace the spirit of Black Friday and there will be loads of great offers out there to take advantage of. This week traditionally sneaks up on me and before I know it Friday has passed and I have missed many of the specials, but this year I have decided to be better prepared and have cleaned out my accounts ready to fire when I see a great offer.
World Sports Betting have taken the pressure off by allowing their Black Friday Promo to run the full week of 23 November to 30 November. They will match your deposit up to a maximum of R20,000 in free bets. What this means is if you deposit a R1000 with them they will credit your account with a R1000 in free bets. Bets placed will have to be at odds of 5/10 or better and you will need to wager 5 times the value of the bonus before you can withdraw from your account.
It is an excellent offer, but don’t make the mistake of depositing money you may need to draw urgently as that will put you under pressure with regards to fulfilling the turnover conditions.
The majority of Black Friday bonuses will only be available on the Friday though and sometimes between specific hours so if you want to take advantage of these it is important to keep a close eye on the bookmakers.
This year we are making things a bit easier by starting a thread on the Goodforthegame Forum where punters can advise each other as to where the best specials are and also discuss things like Terms and Conditions which can on occasions be overly onerous.
The important here is not to get too carried away by the promotions and if you are a R100 punter then make your deposit accordingly, do not put yourself under pressure to play big.
A quick look ahead to this weekend and there is plenty of great rugby including the Currie Cup, Autumn Nations Cup and Argentina v New Zealand where I am expecting a strong bounce back by the All Blacks who are currently 17 point favourites.
