BettingDiaryThe Champions League group stages get going on Tuesday and we take a look at 4 of the matches from a betting angle.

Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are trading as 5/2 favourites ahead of PSG at 11/2, Liverpool are 6/1, Bayern Munich 7/1, Real Madrid 10/1 and you can get 15/1 and better the balance.

Dinamo Zagreb v Chelsea – Click here to bet

Zagreb have come through the qualification phase to make the group stages and they won 4, drew 1 and lost 1 of their 6 matches eventually progressing through their final round by virtue of extra time. They are going well domestically and have won their last 4 League matches with both home teams finding the net in each game.

Chelsea have been a mixed bag in the English Premier League with 2 wins and 2 losses in their last 4 starts and they came from behind to beat West Ham 2-1 at home last time out, but they have then lost their last 2 League matches on the road.

It is difficult to gauge the strength of the Zagreb team, but one thing for sure Chelsea has been conceding goals and both teams to score would have arrived in their last 3 League matches and has arrived in the last 8 Zagreb matches.

Suggested Bet: Both teams to score, YES, at 10/11

Celtic Glasgow v Real Madrid – Click here to bet

Celtic have been in dominant form in the local League and they beat Rangers 4-0 at home on the weekend, their 8th successive win across all domestic competitions.

Real Madrid are also going well in the Spanish League and they have won their first 4 League matches including 3 away wins.

This fixture strikes me as one which will see plenty of goals scored and I fancy Celtic will get on the score sheet against a Real Madrid team that has conceded in all 4 League matches to date. Both teams to score is priced at 7/10 here which is a little bit short for my liking as is 13/20 Real Madrid win the game. My bet here is that we will get 4 goals or more.

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 15/10

Sevilla v Manchester City – Click here to bet

Sevilla have started the season poorly in the Spanish League taking just 1 point from 4 matches. They were beaten 3-0 at home by Barcelona on the weekend.

They face a Manchester City side who is looking good in the English Premier League with some dominant performances, but have also conceded more goals than what we have come to expect. They took the lead away at Aston Villa on the weekend only to let Villa back in with an equalizer and their last 2 away games have been a 3-3 friendly with Barcelona and a 3-3 League match against Newcastle.

I am not expecting Manchester City to mess around here at the start of the group stages in the Tournament they so badly want to win and I am backing them to beat the Sevilla side by more than a goal.

Suggested Bet: Handicap, Manchester City -1.5 at 1/1

PSG v Juventus – Click here to bet

This is certainly one of the clashes of the opening rounds. PSG have been in dominant form in the League with 5 wins in their opening 6 matches. Their last 2 have been 3-0 score lines on the road. Their only points dropped in the League this season was a 1-1 home draw with Monaco.

Juventus have made a solid, but unspectacular start to their domestic League with 2 wins and 3 draws in their opening 5 games. They are coming off a 1-1 away draw at Fiorentina and all 3 of their away games have finished level pegging.

I was somewhat surprised to see there was no recent head-to-head form between these sides with their last meeting back at International Championship Cup in 2017 when Juventus won 3-2.

This should be another game where the goals flow and I am expecting most of them to come from the home team.

Suggested Bet: PSG Total Goals over 2.5 at 21/20
