There is one English Premier League match on Wednesday night and we take a look at the match between Leeds v Manchester City from a betting angle.
LEEDS
Leeds Currently sit 15th on the log and have 15 points from 14 matches and they have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 games.
Prior to the World Cup break they were beaten 4-3 away by Tottenham and prior to that they had beaten Bournemouth by the same score line at home.
The goals have flowed heavily in recent Leeds matches with over 2.5 goal backers collecting profits in Leeds last 4 games. Leeds home record has been solid this season with 3 wins and 2 draws in their 7 matches. In 7 home games they have scored 12 goals while conceding 9.
MANCHESTER CITY
Manchester City are 3rd on the log having been overtaken by Newcastle in this round and they sit 1 point behind Newcastle who are 2nd , but with two games in hand, but more important for City fans they are 8 points behind leaders, Arsenal although have a game in hand.
City were involved in one of the upsets of the season prior to the World Cup break when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Brentford who could be backed at 17/1 before kick-off. That broke a 3 match winning run for City and in digging deeper in to their away record they have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their 6 matches on the road this season. While Manchester City home games have been high scoring the same cannot be said for their away fixtures, only 2 of the 6 matches have reached the 3 goal mark.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Looking at last season’s head-to-head form Manchester City beat Leeds 4-0 in this fixture and they also hammered them 7-0 at home, scoring an aggregate 11 goals without reply.

Leeds 8/1
Draw 5/1
Manchester City 1/3
Suggested Bet: Manchester City, Over 2.5 goals at 10/11
The pricing of this bet reflects the fact that City’s away form has not been that strong this season and that they have only scored 3 goals in 2 of their 6 matches. That been said, I think it is cracking value because they are playing against a Leeds side that is very leaky at the back and have conceded 3 goals at home to the likes of Bournemouth and Fulham in their last 2 matches. Those attacks cannot be compared to the Manchester City units and I make this a cracking bet on the night.
Other options which could be of interest are over 3.5 goals at even money as I think that Leeds are well capable of scoring as well.
