BettingDiaryThe ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium is the venue for the 3rd of 5 T20’s between India and South Africa on Tuesday. The Proteas hold a 2-0 series lead and will be looking to wrap things up with 2 games left to play.

South Africa won the 1st T20 by 7 wickets with a massive run chase on a ground where both teams managed to hit 14 sixes.

The 2nd T20 was very different. South Africa won the toss and sent the Indian team into bat restricting them to 148 for 6 in their 20 overs. Top scorer for India was SS Iyer with 40 off 35 balls and while Nortje delivered top bowler returns in the betting markets with 2 for 36 the pick of the bowlers was surely Rabada with his 1 for 15 in 4 overs.

South Africa were in trouble early losing 3 wickets, but Temba Bavuma with 35 off 30 balls at the top of the innings laid the foundation before a brilliant 81 off 46 balls from Heinrich Klaasen, who had replaced Quinton de Kock due to injury, saw the Proteas home with 10 balls and 4 wickets to spare.

There was no doubt that the pick of the Indian bowlers was Kumar getting 4 for 13 off his 10 overs, but unfortunately for the home team his heroics was not enough to see them home.

India 15/20

South Africa 11/10

The betting is exactly the same as the 2nd T20 and although I am hoping the Proteas wrap up the series at the 1st attempt I do expect a bounce back from India. I am going to leave the match betting and will wait for the Exotic Markets to be priced up before placing bets. Check back on Monday night for my suggested plays.

Selections: Posted 20h25 Monday 13 June

Top Away Bat: Van Der Dussen at 7/2

Rassie was excellent in the 1st T20 and he should get plenty of time at the crease.

Top Away Bowler: Rabada at 28/10

Rabada bowled brilliant on Sunday and in this format that does not always relate to a heavy wicket haul. If he can keep the same consistency he will be rewarded at some stage though.

Highest Total 1st Over: India at 21/20 (tie quoted)

A speculative play but I feel that India are the more likely of the sides to tee off in the 1st over.
