CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE

Verstappen manged to extend his lead in the Championship over Norris after Norris finished ahead on track but received a penalty and so finished 4th behind Verstappen in the USA GP. This puts Verstappen on 354 points while Norris is sitting on 297 points. Because of this Verstappen is now trading at 1.20 to win the Championship while Norris is trading at 4.50.

McLarens continue to lead the Constructors Championship on 544 points while Red Bull are sitting on 504 points. Ferrari are only eight points behind Red Bull on 496 points after their 1-2 finish last week and they will be hungry to put themselves in the Constructors Championship mix. McLaren are favourites to win, trading at 1.12 while Red Bull are trading at 6.50 and Ferrari are trading at 17.00.

Previous Race (2024 United States GP)

Ferrari pulled off a perfect result after qualifying third and fourth last weekend. A first lap battle between Norris and Verstappen saw Leclerc jump into first while Sainz cruised into third. Ferrari managed to pull off the undercut against Verstappen which saw Sainz go into second place which he held on to for the rest of the race. Norris and Verstappen got into a battle for third in the last few laps but after Norris overtook Verstappen, the FIA deemed it to be overtaking off the track and penalised him with a 5 second penalty.

Mexico GP 2023

Last year’s race saw Verstappen finish in first while Hamilton and Leclerc grabbed the other two spots on the podium. Sainz finished in fourth followed by Norris in fifth and Russell in sixth.

VERDICT

Oscar Piastri has been on an extremely impressive run of form. Although he finished 5th last weekend, he has finished on the podium in three of his last four races. McLaren will be urging him on to bring home a solid result so they can stay in control of the Constructors Championship. With his teams backing and his consistent form, Piastri should be able to grab a podium spot this weekend.

Suggested Bet: Oscar Piastri podium finish at 2.00.

Charles Leclerc has found a huge amount of momentum come the end of the seasonLeclerc has finished on the podium in five of the last six races with two wins in those six races. With the momentum of a perfect performance last weekend, he will be hoping to repeat that this weekend and win the Mexican GP. I am backing him to do just that and this bet comes with the money back fro 2nd insurance – see promo details below:

Suggested Bet: Charles Leclerc to win at 3.60
