MUNSTER v OSPREYS

Posted 04 October 15h49

Munster had a hard fought opening win in week 1 at home to Connacht but they were stunned away to Zebre last week.

The Ospreys pulled off an upset of their own when they beat the Stormers at home last week but the week before they lost by 2 points away at the Dragons.

The points line has come in from 49.5 when we did THE HANDICAP show to 44.5 due to the weather.

Munster welcome back some key players and that together with their home record over the Ospreys (they won the last 3 by 16,55 and 16) has me hopping onto the -12.5

BET: 4 units Munster -12.5 at 0.89/1 at Betxchange

BENETTON V LEINSTER

Posted 04 October 15h38

Leinster have wheeled out the big guns and the handicap has shot out from -13.5 to -17.5. I was fortunate to spot this forum post from ProveMeWrong just as teams were announced and took the -13.5.

The points line is now 54.5 and I am going to wait for the Leinster points line before posting a bet.

 Update 05 September 10h06

The handicap and points line are stable and I have settled on Leinster over 35.5 points.

They have named a strong side, the weather looks ok and this bet would have landed in the last 4 URC meetings between the sides

BET: 4 units Leinster over 35.5 points at 9/10 at WSB

CARDIFF V GLASGOW

Posted 4 October 08h29

This handicap opened Cardiff +8.5 and has gradually edged down to +6.5 at most bookies.

Cardiff have beaten Zebre by 5 at home and Scarlets by 9 on the road while defending champions Glasgow lost by a point to Ulster on the road but beat Benetton by 32 points at home last week.

I am tempted by the over 47.5 in what looks like being good conditions but with my focus on the Scarlets game I am just going to have an interest in Glasgow winning a close game with 5 of the last 6 head to heads not being decided by more than 9 points.

BET: 2 units Glasgow by 1-12 point at 14/10 at Sportingbet*

SCARLETS V CONNACHT

Posted 4 October 08h07

After a promising away draw to Benetton the Scarlets were disappointing last week losing by 9 points at home to Cardiff.

Connacht lost their opener 35-33 to Munster on the road and then last week they came back from a big halftime deficit to beat the Sharks 36-30 at home.

The cap has been stable at +6.5 Scarlets all week and if pushed I would be in the Connacht minus camp.

My focus though is on points. Scarlets matches have been low scoring but both Connacht games have gone above 65 points and in what looks like being decent conditions I am on the overs which would also have arrived in the last 2 head to heads hosted by Scarlets.

BET: 4 units over 48.5 points at 19/20 at WSB
