This is a Junior Bantamweight bout scheduled for 4 rounds and the up and coming Malijica should be too strong for his opponent but I don’t really know enough about either fighter so I will probably take a watching brief on this bout.

Allen has his second fight since moving across from the MMA and after an impressive win in his pro debut, I don’t see how Mulder is going to be able to trouble him. Allen is in shape, focused and quite frankly a better fighter and the 1/3 looks banker material.

Walter Dlamini v Wade Groth – click here to bet
Dlamini is no spring chicken at 38 years old but he has fought some quality opponents in a career which only started quite late. He has had 15 wins with 6 defeats and 4 draws and he comes up against Groth for the South African Middleweight Title scheduled for 12 rounds. Groth has a 5-4 record and like Boyd Allen also comes from an MMA background. Groth should have few problems seeing Dlamini off and the 5/10 looks good for your multiples.

Warren le Roux v Keaton Gomez – click here to bet
This is a Heavyweight bout scheduled for 6 rounds and up and coming Gomez who has a 3-0 record with 3 KO’s steps up from the Cruiserweight division. It is hard to see Le Roux with a 2-4-1 record troubling Gomez and while 1/4 is probably too short for most to take a straight bet it is another one that can be added to accumulators to boost prices.

Miguel Vasquez v Thulane Mbenge – click here to bet
I would shave to say that Mbenge is somewhat unlucky not to enjoy top billing on the night as this fight is for the IBO Junior Welterweight title and scheduled for 12 rounds. Mbenge is a young and confident boxer who has got a 14 and 0 record with a 79% knockout ratio. He fights a battle hardened Mexican who has fought 46 times for 40 wins and 6 defeats and he has only been beaten inside the distance once.
Vasquez has held the IBF Lightweight title for 4 years and there is no doubt he is a quality opponent. That being said, Mbenge fought quality in his last fight when he beat another South American, Chavez, in convincing fashion.
This is certainly a fight where you may want to wait and see some of the exotic markets as in the preview below Mbenge seemed very confident that he could finish it in the 5th or 6th round. I have a feeling this guy is going places and make him a good thing at 6/10.

Thabiso Mchunu v Tommy Oosthuizen – click here to bet
Thabiso “The Rock” Mchunu was in many people’s eyes robbed of victory against Tommy “Gun” Oosthuizen in their first fight. He gets a crack at revenge but of concern will be the fact that Oosthuizen should be fitter now as in the previous fight he was returning from a long layoff. Oosthuizen has a significant height and reach advantage and the challenge for Mchunu will be to get close enough to land telling blows. This is a pivotal fight for both boxers’ careers but I do feel that Mchunu represents the value at 15/10.

Main Bet: Allen and Mbenge, double at 19/20.
I rate Allen an absolute banker and I think Mbenge will deliver as well. I also throw Keaton Gomez into the mix and the treble works out at 15/10.
Speculative Play: Boyd, Groth, Gomez, Mbenge and Mchunu all to win at just over 8/1.
