BettingDiaryThere are no fewer than 6 English Premier League matches for punters to sink their teeth into on Saturday and we suggest a bet in each of them.

EVERTON v NEWCASTLE

Everton are 7th on the log and in some pretty decent nick having lost only 1 of their last 8 matches, last time out they drew 1-1 at home to Leicester.

Newcastle appear to be in big trouble and they have now lost 5 matches in succession and haven't won in their last 9 games. They were beaten 2-1 at home by Leeds last time out and their last 4 away games have seen them beaten without scoring and the one before that against Leeds they scored 2, but conceded 5.

Everton 6/10

Draw 61/20

Newcastle 5/1

Suggested Bet: Total goals aggregate 2-3 at 9/10

I expect Everton to win, but I prefer this bet to the 6/10 that they bag the 3 points, it arrived for us in Everton’s last match and I expect something like a 2-0 or 3-0 result here.

CRYSTAL PALACE v WOLVES

Crystal Palace are 14th on the table level on points with Wolves and just behind them on goal difference. They have only won 1 of their last 9 matches and last time out were beaten 3-2 at home by West Ham. Palace home matches have averaged 3.1 goals with 4 of the 10 games delivering for over 2.5 goal backers.

Wolves are coming off a goalless draw away at Chelsea, but they are battling to get a win and have now gone 7 games since their last 3 pointer. 50% of Wolves away matches this season have delivered for over 2.5 goal backers and their away matches averaged 2.5 goals each.

Palace 39/20

Draw 21/10

Wolves 33/20

Suggested Bet: Wolves win at 33/20

I actually like under 2.5 goals as my pick, but at 5/10 the bookmakers have seen me coming. Not a confident call, but I think Wolves will have the edge and will take a fair bit from their last match against Chelsea.

MANCHESTER CITY v SHEFFIELD UNITED

City are now top of the log and with a game in hand over the teams just behind them. They have won their last 7 League matches in succession, hammering West Brom 5-0 on the road last time out. Their last home game was a 2-0 win over Aston Villa and after a quietish first half of the season the goals have really started to flow for City.

Sheffield United caused one of the upsets of the year when they beat Manchester United 2-1 on the road in midweek. They are still firmly at the bottom of the table, but that was their 2nd victory and they are now 10 points away from safety. They have only won 1 of 10 attempts on the road and that of course was against United.

Manchester City 2/13

Draw 29/4

Sheffield United 20/1

Suggested Bet: Handicap, (-2) at 11/10

For this bet to win we need City to win by at least 3 goals and although Sheffield United caused a massive upset in midweek I think they are going to come down from that high and they face a rampant City team.

WEST BROM v FULHAM

The future is looking a bit bleak for both of these sides with West Brom in 19th and Fulham in 18th and a gap is forming between them and safety.

West Brom’s last 3 home games has seen them lose without scoring and concede an incredible 14 goals. Fulham are without a win in their last 9 matches and last time out had a goalless draw away at Brighton and Fulham have drawn their last 3 away games.

West Brom 47/20

Draw 22/10

Fulham 27/20

Suggested Bet: Fulham win at 27/20

This is a tough betting heat, but I give Fulham a slight edge here and will have a nibble on them for a win.

ARSENAL v MANCHESTER UNITED

Arsenal are in 9th position, but are showing improved League form with 5 wins and a draw in their last 6 starts. Last time out they beat Southampton 3-1 away and their last home game was a 3-0 win over Newcastle.

Manchester United are 2nd on the table, but were rocked in midweek with the defeat to Sheffield United at home. Their away form has been outstanding this season though with 8 wins and 2 draws in 10 matches.

Arsenal 19/10

Draw 12/5

Manchester United 15/10

Suggested Bet: Under 2.5 goals at 19/20

This could be the tight affair bookmakers are expecting and looking at the head-to-head results between the sides, their last 4 League matches has seen 2 goals or less in them.

SOUTHAMPTON v ASTON VILLA

Southampton are 11th on the table, 1 position behind Aston Villa who are on the same amount of points, but have played a game less. The Saints have lost their last 2 matches, at home to Arsenal and away at Leicester, but prior to that they beat Liverpool 1-0 at home.

Aston Villa lost an entertaining match away at Burnley last time out, losing 3-2 and their recent away form is concerning with just 1 point out of the last 12 they have played for.

Southampton 7/4

Draw 51/20

Aston Villa 15/10

Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 31/20

The last time these sides played was in November and there was 7 goals between them. I have been watching Villa on the road and they do create plenty of chances so here is hoping for goals.
