CCBulls21The latest Goodforthegame newsletter penned by @BrentGraham with best bets for the weekend 24th to 25th August including a 22/1 acca with @WorldSsportsBet

Last weekend was a strange one for me in that I finished ahead of the bookies but only just and I had that feeling that it should have been much better.

It would of if I had stuck to the newsletter plays where the 15/10 Rugby Champs Double landed. I had not realized how wet it was in Auckland (the weather site I was using was showing clear conditions a couple of hours before despite reports of heavy rains coming through) and I mentally wrote that leg off only for it to land before the break. Typically it was the 4/10 Aus +20.5 leg that made us sweat.

The 11/1 Currie Cup acca also arrived and I am really enjoying the tournament and not just because of the betting. There are some great players coming through the ranks and the depth in SA rugby is scary.

THE HANDICAP
It was great to have Couch Critic on the show with The Oracle and myself on Thursday. Couch still enjoys the occasional hooker play and it is always lekka to get his take on the rugby.
There was a lot of agreement between the 3 of us and time will tell if that is a good thing.

Here are some shortcuts

WP v Sharks
Cheetahs v Lions
Griffons v Griffons Pumas

OH SH*T
I am not sure if I have sworn on the show before but here is a 15 sec clip where I do and it also includes a few laughs.

WEEKEND PLAYS
With no rugby championships this week my focus is on the Currie Cup and of course La Vuelta (Vuelta bets posted in this forum thread)
There is also plenty of football action and Chris has posted his bets on the 7 Saturday EPL matches and other punters share their plays in the forum

Sharks and Lions to win on the road
All of my Currie Cup plays will be posted in this blog and we got off to a good start with the overs at Loftus last night.

I have been leaning Sharks and Lions all week and have been a bit surprised there has been money for WP and the Cheetahs on the initial handicaps.
The lines have settled at Sharks -2.5 and Lions -3.5 but I am going to take the cap out of the equation for this one and will take a win double.

Keep an eye on the forum for rugby bets from shrewd punters around the world.
